Biography

Dr. Adisorn Lumpaopong is a Pediatric Nephrology Consultant at Phramongkutklao Hospital and College of Medicine, Bangkok, Thailand. He graduated his Doctor of Medicine (MD) with Second-Class Honors from Phramongkutklao College of Medicine in 1993. Dr. Lumpaopong obtained his certificates in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology from Phramongkutklao Hospital in 1998 and 2002, respectively. Between 2002 and 2004, Dr. Lumpaopong was granted the opportunity by the Kidney Foundation of Thailand to study at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), Chicago, Illinois, USA, with Professor Eunice G. John, MD. focusing on pediatric nephrology, dialysis and transplantation. Presently, Dr. Lumpaopong holds various esteemed positions, including President of the Thai Pediatric Nephrology Association, Chair of the Nephrology Registry Committee for the Nephrology of Thailand, Chair of the Transplant Registry Committee for the Thai Transplantation Society, and Council Member of the Asian Society of Transplantation. His contributions also extend to national healthcare schemes and policies related to kidney disease, dialysis and transplantation services, as he actively participates with the Ministry of Public Health, National Health Security Office and Social Security Office. Dr. Lumpaopong's professional interests encompass tropical renal diseases, dialysis, transplantation, and healthcare policy.
