This symposium will provide attendees with a detailed understanding of the goals and accomplishments of the TTS’s Women in Transplantation initiative. The symposium will open with an overview of the broad goals of WIT and how WIT aims to help transplant professionals of all genders work towards gender equity in transplantation. Subsequent sessions will focus on WIT’s 3 pillars: (1) Advancing and inspiring women transplant professionals, (2) Championing issues of sex and gender in transplantation, and (3) Advocacy for equity in access to transplantation and donation. Speakers include a combination of internationally renowned transplant clinicians and scientists, early career professionals, and patient partners. This symposium has something for everyone.
