If you are curious about planning a continuing medical education (CME)/continuing professional development (CPD) activity, or if you are presently involved in this task, or will be in the future, this studio session is for you. The development of a CME/CPD program can be challenging; however, it does not need to be. Applying the principles of adult learning and a simple six-step approach, faculty, scientific committee members, and meeting planners will find out that it can be an enjoyable and fruitful activity. Bring a topic (or we can come with one in class) and be ready to discuss with your colleagues and create your next CME/CPD program.
Learning Objectives At the end of this session, participants will be able to 1. Describe adult learning principles 2. Explain the value of a CME/CPD activity 3. List, describe and apply the main steps for planning a CME/CPD activity
