Dr. Mariam Priya Alexander is a faculty pathologist in the Division of Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. She is a Professor of Pathology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Mayo Graduate School in the USA.

Dr. Alexander's main focus is on developing new diagnostic techniques to assess native and allograft renal pathology. She discovered DNAJB9 protein as a biomarker for fibrillary glomerulonephritis and has been working on using Imaging Mass cytometry to explore the single cell landscape of renal allografts. She has over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals, authored book chapters and won several awards throughout her medical career.
