Studio Session: Management of Antibody-Mediated Rejection: A Multi-disciplinary effort
Tuesday September 24, 2024 from 13:40 to 15:10
Studio 1 - Yidiz 1
Description
The care of transplant recipients is complex, requiring a collaborative and multi-disciplinary effort. This is particularly true when diagnosing and managing antibody-mediated rejection. Using interactive presentations, members of the Banff Antibody-Mediated Injury Workgroup will:
1. Present clinical scenarios, including immunogenetic, histopathology, and molecular diagnostics data, for audience members to interactively assign diagnoses according to the recent Banff classification.
2. Facilitate discussion on standardized diagnoses based on recent Banff classification.
3. Discuss the findings of a recent survey conducted by our working group on the contemporary global practices and perceived value of multidisciplinary perspectives in the diagnosis of antibody-mediated rejection and its management.
4. Conclude with a panel discussion on the educational and patient-centered care related opportunities offered by multidisciplinary meetings.
